I really want to like steakhouses like Gibson's, Chicago cut, etc but the "upper crust" style just doesn't appeal to me. Chain Restaurant's tend to get a lot of flack but this one works for me. Tend to get the porterhouse and mac and cheese, I use to be super impressed by the table side steak sauce....not so much anymore....the last few times I barely had any sauce, I have tried a number of items over the years most were more hits then miss.. Service can be mix but never had a major problem. Overall it's my favorite/go-to for steak's.

Came in last night( 03/12/15 ) at around 9pm and decided to sit at the bar since we only wanted to have dessert and didn't want to tie up a servee. The (male)bartender was extremely rude, and addressed as "bro". My girlfriend and I decided to order the molten lava cake. It was cold and hard as a rock. I didn't want to make a fuss so I asked for the bill and left. It was such a horrible experience . NEVER COMING BACK "BRO". *******Edit****** I was contacted by Jonathan from Guest Relations and he sincerely apologized for the horrible service and tried to make it right. I decided to edit my original 1Star rating to 5 stars only because Jonathan went above and beyond.

LongHorn is the 10's version of the 70's Mr Steak. They're not going to challenge or rival any of the independent steak places in Chicago. LongHorn exists to offer a decent steak from an average cut at a value price. While Darden execs might disagree with some of that analogy, the premise of that value proposition makes it tough to rate any establishment as "five stars". Being the best of mediocre is still mediocre. That said one of the things that in my opinion set them apart was an appetizer/salad offering they used to have - a grilled watermelon. I had it at a Yelp event a couple years back and it was outstanding. This, from a non-watermelon fan. Unfortunately, it's no longer to be found on the menu. Let's turn to the steak, a NY Strip. It was OK, somewhat heavily seasoned with an amount of fat and gristle that one might expect. The loaded baked potato that I ordered with it was pretty good. So that's it in a nutshell - service was fine as well.

Hi all, This was a favorite of ours but the service was slow. The food was cold and the waited way to long for our food .. I had to ask another server for a refill of my beverage ... The bill was over $70 dollars for the two of us for two cold steaks , a Coke, margarita, and appetizer ... The hostess said it would be a 5 minute wait but waited over 30 minutes ... They really don't have there act together ... Too bad good luck and hope you get good service we didn't ....

Being the business I always tip for great service but when you are lazy and don't clear our entree plates and leave a dirty wine glass in the corner thinking we won't see it sham on you

We sat down at a table that was dirty still and sticky. I asked someone to please bring me something to clean it off and they did. They bought out our plates for the bread and the top plate was dirty. I almost wanted to get up and leave. After our order was put in the food was fresh and hot. Our waitress was very apologetic about everything before. No manger came by to see how we were doing or anything. I made sure I tipped the waitress well but disappointed on the manger not checking on any of the guest.

Took a few minutes to get a table but everything was great. My waitress Patty took care of me quickly, the bread is fantastic and my steak was perfect. It's a little more expensive then I think it should be but overall I enjoyed it and would go back again.

Oh my goodness I think this was the best meal we ever had!!! I had the filet and shrimp and my husband had the filet and lobster tail, perfection!!!! We also had the stuffed mushrooms they were incredible. Our server was very very nice and very accommodating. The manager also came over and gave us a free appetizer for next time we come in...

Stopped here for dinner this past Thursday night after hitting the Fashion Outlets in Rosemont. Never had been to a LongHorn before and I was pleasantly surprised. Affable host seated us right away in a comfortable booth. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Our waitress was friendly and sociable. The Caesar salads we ordered were decent; lettuce was fresh but overall, nothing out of this world. However, the Outlaw Ribeye Steaks (medium rare) we ordered were outstanding! Juicy and succulent. The mashed potatoes were buttery and delicious. The steamed broccoli came with a butter lemon sauce that was a bit too much though. In general, we were pleased with our dining outing here! Glad to find a casual steakhouse that takes its meat seriously. xoxo

Steak dinners at these prices count me in! Came to a very chainey restaurant feel. Very bold and masculine decor great for eating a great piece of meat! But the steak wasn't great neither was the ribs or anything what so ever. The 18oz ribeye just didn't have the flavor of ribeyes I have had in the past. My buddy got the ribs that were a little cold and under sauced. At the price of under $30 it was deff a deal, I just feel its a problem when the best thing I eat is the side Ceaser salad. For the value I will be back though!

Cannot be more complimentary of our server Adam. Was there celebrating my birthday tonight and he went above and beyond. Working in a restaurant I see great service, but this was well past great service. Without myself or my gf saying anything about celebrating a birthday he wished me a happy birthday and brought us out a dessert. Food was spectacular will be back

This place used to be a favorite of ours--good food and good service at reasonable prices. Well, things seem to have changed. My wife and I went there recently for an anniversary. Service was quite good. I had prime rib, which had alway been good in the past, but this time instead of the fine texture you expect from a good cut of prime rib, it was course and had none of the delicate flavor I would have expected. Just didn't taste like prime rib. My wife's dinner was good according to her. Ok, toss out the bad prime rib as a fluke. But the drink prices have skyrocketed. Call drinks were $8.50. With tax and tip, that is an $11 drink...WOW! The means two drinks each translated into $40 of our bill. That is approaching Ritz-Carlton territory. Just recently these same drinks were about $6 all in. Darden group, the fund that owns Longhorn and others, said in communications that they would look to boost drink prices to generate higher margins, but c'mon...a nearly doubling of prices! For that money I can go to Morton's, Chicago Chop House or Ruth's Chris (I know they would be much more expensive, but there I can see the value)

I wish there was an option of zero stars because we didnt even eat. Unfortunately the hostess sat another couple that walked in after us, BEFORE us. Unhappy with this, i complained. She then had the audacity to tell me they called ahead even though i overheard her tell them the wait would be fifteen minutes when they walked in. What a joke.

My first time to a Longhorn and it was great. The food was great and the server was amazing. His name was Brandon and he did a phenomenal job. I definitely felt appreciated and will definitely be coming back to this location. And the reason is Brandon service and kindness. Please make sure Brandon gets recognized for his great customer service. I highly encourage everyone to visit this location and ask for Brandon the server. You won't be disappointed..

I'm staying next door at the Radisson. Never been here before. It's a pretty good atmosphere. Service is decent. The steak is good but not great. I got medium rare and it's more bloodier than I expected. My server was going to replace it but I stayed with it.

Just okay. Period. I had the ribeye without the bone (first mistake). Since I eat with my eyes first, they received 1 star. The steak was not charred, caramelized at all. Looked like they baked it... U know what i mean. It tasted ok. But I would not order that again.

We came here to Longhorn to celebrate my new job. I can honestly say that YOU MUST call in ahead of time to add your name to the waiting list. It saves you tons of time. I only waited 5 minutes since I called ahead and the original wait time was 45 minutes. The food in great! We had the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer and it was excellent. It has a kick to it but since I am a wimp for spicy food, others with a high tolerance would probably not even taste the kick. The steak and lobster combination is amazing and very reasonable. You will not be disappointed with the food or drinks here.

I'm updating my recent 1 star review due to the overwhelming response I've received from both the local Longhorn Steakhouse and from Corporate headquarters. They genuinely want their guests to enjoy their evening and dining experience. We've been asked to give them another chance and I'll update my review once we've had the opportunity to do so.

Nice casual atmosphere and nice staff. Food is very good. It's a very busy place so you want to get there early instead of later.

I hadn't been there in awhile. They have a weird smell at this location. I think it's time to pull up the rug. The staff is always friendly. The steak melted in my mouth. The bread is so yummy. I also enjoyed my mojito.

Not sure if this was a one-off or the quality has declined. My last visit in November, my steak was tough and not as flavorful as usual. The sole time I have ever regretting coming here. What was right was the shrimp cocktail - (picture) delicious and the broccoli (picture) perfectly prepared. I am not writing them off for the one bad taste experience, but I hate spending so much on a steak meal when the steak isnt up to par. Waiter never asked if we wanted more bread either. One star downgrade.

Sat at the bar although the Bar Tender could use a personality he did mix one hell of a Long Island Ice Tea. We both ordered the steak medium well and it was excellant. Clean place.

Bad bad bad bad.. I don't know what ever happened to this place.. It used to be one of our fav places for a long time. I know they won't miss us, but just an fyi for management, we're never coming back. We may only be a handful of customer this place is losing, but hey, you gotta start somewhere right?

Great service, great food. Had sirloin with blue cheese crust. Perfectly prepared. Upgraded side, soda, bill was $22. Hard to find decent steak dinner at that price. Western decor is fitting. Not in the area often, but would come back.

I come to this location very often. The service is beyond incredible here. My favorite server is by far Brandon. He is very attentive and really cares about his customers. We have had issues in the past with other servers, but the manager Ryan is wonderful. He personally comes to check on you, brings the corrected order, and makes sure it is perfect to your taste. I never leave there unhappy, just full :)

I really love this place. Great food and service. The prices are awesome also if you call 30 minutes before your arrival time, then you don't have to wait for the table. The food is delicious I really enjoyed the fresh baked bread. I am looking forward to going there again.

I stopped by here after a meeting figuring I could work a bit. Situated by OHare, I thought this hotel must cater to business travelers. Not so much. First, there is no Wi-Fi. The adjacent hotel has Wi-Fi but the steakhouse does not. Second, if you would like a domestic mass produced beer - they have what you want. If you want anything from a brewer smaller than the big dogs, don't come here. There aren't any pulls or bottles that feature seasonal or different beer (think Bell's, Two Brothers, 3 Floyd's etc.) The food is ok but with all of the choices in Chicagoland for steak (Gibson's, Morton's and Cap Grill - all right down the road) why would you come here? I'd take a pass on this location.

As always, I had a very good experience at Long Horn. I ordered a drink (my favorite - vodka soda with lemon). Most places make them weak and it isn't worth the money, but not here! We were seated right away, and our waitress was great. She came by numerous times and was very patient with us (we took forever to order). The food was great as usual (I got a steak with potatoes). No complaints, I would definitely come back!

I don't usually go to chains. Due to location (Mannheim Rd near O'Hare) and having turned in our rental car, it was a choice of chains. Thankfully Yelpers had given the nod to this Longhorn. A pleasant surprise! Our bone-in ribeye steaks were high quality and grilled perfectly. The fresh seasonal vegetables and fresh green beans were perfect, not overcooked. Even my wife's by-the-glass wine was good. Our server Kim was efficient and super friendly. I would happily go back to this Longhorn if overniting near O'Hare again.

So I went to longhorn steakhouse with my parents we were seated very quickly wich was good, but.... It took a while for the waiter to come but when she did she was quick on service. The food came pretty quickly wich, I'm not complaining about that!!! The food was pretty good I had steak and fries one word YUMMY!!! I rated it four stars because are waiter was nice and quick on service but not the sharpest tool in the shed (if you know what I mean ;)!!) but to sum it up good food good service so if you go to longhorn I hope you enjoy your time!!!!!

For a chain type establishment, the steak was surprisingly good! Tender and generous. The sides were good too. I know I was really hungry going in, but the meal was still a good one. I really wish I would have gotten her name, but our server was fantastic! That said, she was tipped accordingly! My team member just won a chunk at the casino... Needles to say, our server knew we were happy! The place was clean and we were seated very quickly...at lunch time! Close to my office, I will be back!

Have been here several times in last 6 months. Love the food. We travel over half hour to get there. But this last visit was terrible. It was 2 in afternoon. Place was empty. Had a 10 minute wait. Was then seated in the bar area. The server didn't know the menu, or was it the bar tender? Don't know if we showed up at a shift change or if understaffed? We had to ask three times for bread, the food was terrible and the service was even worse. I ordered French Onion soup and was watered down. I didn't eat all of it. It was disappointing and don't think we will be going back. I still have a tummy ache.

Ok, so we chose LongHorn over another restaurant because my dad likes it and here we went at 5pm on Labor day. We were early before the holiday crowd so service s/b w/o any snafu's, right ? We waited and the waitress came around, we made jokes, ordered drinks and waited for the bread basket, we got the basket and waited for the dishes. I didn't wait and enjoyed a slice or two before the dishes came. The bread was soft and I could have squeezed it into a ball. The drinks came and mine was room temp which I asked for straight-up because I'm not James Bond & don't ask for shaken, not stirred. My parents drinks were switched probably because they are both brown liquids and this waitress is not part of the waitress union that knows the secret on how to organize drinks so the right people get the right drinks. Finally I get a cold one and we do the "cheers" thing. The salads were nice and cold but I didn't get the memo that I had a choice of salads so I go the auto salad which was caesars w/o the parmeasan. Our entrees came and everybody was pleased. I ordered the 16oz Prime Rib which I was surprised didn't have a bone and was a nice hunk of meat except it was cool. My broccoli was hotter than my steak. My Au Jus was warmer than the steak and that was a salty mess but I did not play the "send it back" game because I wanted to eat & get it done. Also on the second drink they gave my dad a So. Comfort instead of C.C. Why ? We are numbered 1-5 on the bill so what is there "system" to identifying who is ordering ? It was probably one of the few times I ever took meat home in a carry-out bag.

I ate here twice out of convenience since it's literally just next door to the lodging where I've stayed in Chicago. The service was slow as molasses and the bartender had ZERO personality. Extremely weak and unfriendly. It's like he had the case of the blahs and that's 3 days in a row. I think it's the wrong job for him. However the only thing good I can say is that the food was good when it finally arrived. just be ready to sit about an hour before your food comes. Not sure what else to say. If there was an Outback Steakhouse nearby, I would go there instead.

I came here for my sister's birthday on a Saturday night with a party of 12. They don't take reservations in advance, but you can call 30 minutes ahead to "reserve" AKA let them know you need a table for x amount of people. We get to the restaurant and are told we won't be seated until our entire party is here. The hostess gives me a device that will buzz when the table is ready. She comes back to tell me that the table will be ready in 5 minutes and then asks how long it'll take for the rest of the party to arrive. I told her 5 minutes. Rest of the party arrives and we are still not seated. The hostess returns again to tell me tables will now be ready in 20 minutes and hands me another buzzer. What the freak is going on with this hostess?! We are finally seated at our "reserved" tables and then given one slab of bread and butter for 12 people. Seriously? I think we deserve 3 slabs of bread. They eventually brought out 2 more for us. Food was good, but nothing special. Customer service definitely needs to improve at this restaurant.

Chain restaurant with a good solid menu and general offerings. I went with the grilled salmon and rice; yes I did get salmon at the steak house. I wanted something a little lighter and I have had their steaks before. Steaks in the past were fine. The salmon was grilled well. A nice smokey flavor that was cooked to medium rare as requested with a soft center. The fish was a good cut that was not overcooked or dry. This was really great considering that we had a large party (over 15 people) and the dishes arrived fairly consistently around each other. The staff was friendly and pleasant despite the crowded tables from our large group. While not the best seafood or steaks I have ever eaten it is fairly well done and reasonably priced for a night out. The staff was friendlier and more pleasant then the Longhorn I have eaten at before.

I ordered the ribs twice in three nights, it was that good! The free bread was surprisingly tasty, as was the salad and baked sweet potato that came with the ribs. Service was prompt and pleasant.

Decent filet for the price (especially from a chain restaurant). Cold, crisp dinner salad with homemade bleu cheese dressing and the best baked sweet potato around, served with cinnamon sugar and butter. I'll definitely be back...

I rounded up to 3 stars, but this place BARELY gets the 3 stars. We came here for dinner and picked the place based on its location and reasonable prices. Service was friendly but SLOW. It was a weeknight and everything took time - from getting our drinks, to our salads, to our entrees. The food was mixed - okay across the boards. There is nothing really special about it. First, I asked for my steak to be medium rare. The waiter repeated this with the description. When I got it, it was medium to medium well. How does a steakhouse not cook a steak to order? Not happy at all. Nevertheless, I tried a bit and it was still juicy and well-seasoned so I decided not to complain or send it back, but it was a huge discount in the Yelp ratings. The shrimp with it was very tasty. My sister got the burger and said it was good, but "just a burger." The rest of the party seemed to enjoy the food but was also frustrated by the painfully slow service.

This was my 2nd time at this restaurant and the experience was the same both times. Hostess staff was very unprofessional, ( she was playing with her hair the entire time we talked to her). Waiter was very good but appeared to be over worked and his attitude somewhat displayed that. Food was typical for a chain location of convenience. I only come here because I use the park & fly from the Radisson.

I always get one of the two cuts of ribeye and though the meat can be a bit flabby it is always tasteful and seasoned well. I prefer the rice with my steak as it tastes great when soaked up with teh beef's juices. With a side and a salad for $19-$22 I don't know where I can find a much better inexpensive steak in Chicagoland. The atmosphere is very tame and family oriented but for the money and food quality it makes up for this. This is a chain, similiar to Texas Roadhouse but much, much better food. The wait staff is always very professional and friendly.

I usually don't write about chains, but this experience was worth it. I have eaten in other restaurants in this chain but this one stands apart. The steaks were unusually good. Very tasty and juicy. They were cooked just right. They could easily give gourmet restaurants a run for their money

I've always enjoyed Longhorn and Sunday night was no different. Service is outstanding, but works perfectly fine for me. Absolutely love that they have a whole grain honet wheat bread. Yum! I ordred the Flo's Filet with Lobster Tail. The filet was cooked medium rare just how I like it. Juicy, tender, delicious. How can you go wrong with a lobster tail? I'm a seafood fanatic! The sweet potatoe was sweet and soft, however, the rice pilaf was very salty.... or maybe I thought it was because I don't use salt in a lot of my food. Overall, quite satisfying. Everyone else enjoyed their meal and the ability to get either 1 side and salad or 2 sides. Also not an expensive meal considering we all ordered filets.

Long horn is one of my favorite places to eat. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. Love the sauted mushrooms and filet. I had a minor accident where grease was spilled on my bag. The staff was very attentive and Helpful. Thankyou Brandon for your time.

Not the greatest place. Service was super slow waited forever to order and server wouldn't take our food order when we were ready. The food was okay, I ordered the sirloin wrapped with bacon with sweet potato. I had a hard time cutting it, the whole table was shaking but i loved the sweet potato. Probably won't come back

First meal out in DP, and loved it. Its got the rustic pseudo western that I love, I think the music fits. Friendly greeting, even friendlier service from AJ, and he's helpful with the menu as well. The bread is great, but the butter is scant, and you have to ask for extra. Same goes for the dinner salad, generous bowlful, but not the bleu cheese dressing. I ordered what I saw on a picture, 7 oz. filet and shrimp/crabmeat gratin. Good, but heavy, steak was excellent, only had a forkful of delicious mashed potatoes. In spite of all this, I still ordered the wrong thing. Basil, was talked into an 18 oz. (without bone) ribeye. It was as perfect as it gets in flavor and tenderness. It's up there with any fine dining steaks, I've had in the Twin Cities. The manager, Jarrod, told us that this chain is coming to the Twin Cities, as well. I sense a new favorite.

We are staying at the hotel next door (Radisson) and, as it was a cold late evening, we decided to stop here to have dinner and some drinks. The drinks: My friend ordered a martini and I ordered a beer. The martini is the smallest I've ever seen. It looked more like a kids drink. A super tiny glass that it was finished in a handful of zips. My beer was fine as you really cant cheat on those! The Food: We ordered a couple of appetizers starting with the Fried Chicken Tenders. They were soooo greasy it was not even crispy. Seems that the oil they were friend on has been used over and over and over. Tasted more like oil and the drips of it as you picked it up made your heart arteries wanting to bounce off your body. The salad was ok as it has to be very bad to screw up a salad. For the main course, I ordered a glass of wine and it was very cheap tasting. Not enjoyable at all. Food-wise, I ordered the grilled salmon and my friend the steak and lobster combo. My grilled salmon was good but the sweet potato that came on the side had way too much brown sugar and butter. I had one bite and left it there. The rice was good. The steak was ok but I wished it has better taste and not as chewy. The lobster was good. However, it just felt cheap, too greasy, too buttery and just massed produced... One of my pet-peeves is when the server brings you the check while we are still easting which she did. What if we wanted dessert or something else? What's the rush? There is no one waiting! While she was friendly, it was more like she had to bel. The bathrooms were clean but could have used a little touch up. The Final Verdict: Restaurant Ambiance/Decor: 3.0 out of 5.0 Staff Service/friendliness : 1.0 out of 5.0 Seating Arrangement/Layout: 3.0 out of 5.0 Seating Comfort: 1.0 out of 5.0 Food Quality/Flavor: 1.5 out of 5.0 food Price/Value: 1.0 out of 5.0 Wine/Alcohol Selection: 3.0 out of 5.0 Wine/Alcohol Taste/Flavor: 1.0 out of 5.0 Wine/Alcohol Price Value: 1.0 out of 5.0 Bathrooms Cleanliness: 2.0 out of 5.0 Price Value: 1.0 out of 5.0 Final Score: 18.5 out of 55 (34 out of 100% or F grade) Final Comment: Overpriced, fatty food and rushed service with super small mixed drinks. Go somewhere else...

Sooo good! We have gone here many times & the food is always good, staff is friendly & efficient. You can't beat the prices either & there aren't alot of good steak places around. If you want a good, dependable meal, that doesn't cost a fortune, this is the place to go. Keep it up, Long Horn, you're dong a GREAT job!!

Exactly what you'd expect from a corporate chain. Other than the interior decorating it is indistinguishable from Applebees, Ruby Tuesday, or any of those other bland, cheerful factory places. The service was fine. The food was exactly what you'd expect - adequate and unexciting. You know exactly what you'll be getting here - so go if that's what you want. Can you tell I really can't stand places like this - contributing to the culinary dumbing down of America.

OK, I first want to say I love LONGHORN. Their chicken parm is absolutely fabulous. My mouth is watering right now for it. But that is neither here nor there. I have been to this Longhorn 2 or 3 times now, and I have NEVER had a problem. I have always received not great but EXCELLENT service. BUT, my last trip it was the COMPLETE opposite. We arrived around 5:00, the restaurant was deserted. Which we thought was extremely odd. The hostess seated us at a booth, a few minutes later our waiter comes out and introduces himself. I do not remember his name but it started with a G. He takes our drink order, and doesn't show up for another 5-7 mins, keep in my mind we haven't received our drinks yet. When he does finally show he takes our food order and leaves. Time goes by, we wait, and wait, and wait some more till finally at last we received our food! That part I don't get there was no one in the restaurant...WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG? Anyways, our waiter only came back to check on us once. Meanwhile, our drinks had condensation around the glasses because they were only filled once and that was when we first received them. Honestly, I am extremely hesitant in coming back, no matter how much I am craving their chicken. We were treated badly, like we were inconveniencing him. He was not happy, maybe it was an off day for him, but still that is no way to treat the people that are going to tip you.

Good steaks and great value for your money. We always get good service here. Last time we ordred the porterhouse for 2 and it was great. The tableside steak sauce is wonderful. I would suggest ordering some additional sides though because we felt we wanted more. The atmosphere is country western. We are not fans of that music and it is loud which is the only downfall but the seating is comfortable. I like the skinny cocktails selection.

This place is right outside of the Radisson, so I found myself here a few times. The food is what you'd expect; it fills your stomach, nothing flashy. I really liked their side caeser salad. Although they had messed up a few of our items, the server immediately replaced them no questions asked. My friend and I couldn't find a bloody mary on the menu, but the bartender made us one anyways. That bartender was awesome! Great staff all around.

Decor... very nice, old photos, steer heads, saddles, etc... very much what you would expect from the name. Food... eh. I mean, it was okay, but nothing spectacular. The steaks we ordered were made to order, the appetizer was okay (chicken nuggets with three different dipping sauces), the desert was stellar (Golden Nuggets, deep fried cheese cake served with strawberry sauce and ice cream - M, M, GOOD!). Service... good, but not acceptional. We were particularly irritated with the fact that our salads came with the appetizer and then before we were done with the salads our dinner was served and we had ask to have the plates removed from the table from food that had already been eaten. Price... basically comparable to Outback. All in all, an okay experience, but honestly not so great that we'd go back.

I can't believe that I live close enough to walk to this place. It has been open for 4 years and I went for the first time tonight. Nicely decorated and an excellent staff, we will return. They had a $29.95 special for an appetizer or a desset, 2 Salads, and 2 Entrees!

Going into Longhorn for a light meal, I had little expectations and little space in the stomach for any food. It was game night, more excited than anything for a hockey game and a glass of wine than chomping on some food but I wasn't traveling solo so we made a pit stop before the puck dropped. It was early so the restaurant was quiet, we were seated in the bar and scourred through the menu to see what was appetizing. Still not hungry but not wanting to look like a jerk, I ordered fish when the waitress came around. My dining buddy salmon. Both glasses of wine to sip the time away, that was until yours truly....after getting into a good conversation and dealing with gunky contacts waived my hand in front of the glass and saw in slow motion as it tipped over and spilled everywhere. What a hot mess, thankfully the wine only spilled on the table and didn't hit either of us. (You know that would be the only time a cop pulls you over if you smelled like booze) The server and hostess immediately flocked to our table and brought over extra table linens so the mess could be wiped down. Cheeks flushed, jacket fully off and no longer chilled the waitress cruised over with a fresh glass of wine and said it was on the house. Dumbfounded I took it and laughed with her and told her I was sorry, she said it happened all of the time and came back minutes later with our order. Foodwise, this is a typical chain restaurant. It's alright but not someplace I would frequent. If staying in the Radisson, stop indeed or sit at the bar and catch a game. It's no biggie. Would I come back, maybe for a drink and apps if catching a Wolves' game. 4 big whompers for comping an extra drink, 3 for the food.

Stayed @ The Radisson on 3/24/11 and ordered room service from LongHorn. The parmesan crusted chicken sandwich was plump, juicy and VERY flavorful. I also ordered the shrimp & lobster chowder and it was delicious!!! Called down to the chef to give Kudos. YES! It was that good!!

I rate this restaurant with 5 stars. I love this steakhouse and ITS A STEAK HOUSE. I had the 22 oz steak porterhouse with 2 sides which was more than enough for me. Service was excellent and the food great. Parking was also good.

The food here is good but the service is slow. Even if we order salads or sandwiches at lunch, it is an hour and a half lunch. Even when it is not busy. So as tasty as the food can be, do not eat here if you have any sort of time constraint or severe low blood sugar.

I recently came here for a business lunch and was impressed with the service we had. Our server was friendly, and very attentive. I decided on the Grilled Chicken & Strawberry Salad --- I never had anything like it (maybe a Chinese Chicken Salad came close) so I wanted to try it. It actually came with mandarin oranges, and grapes as well... it was good, as well as the grilled chicken. Filling for a quick lunch. The lemonade I had was average. But overall it was a good experience. ETA: I've been back here a few more times and have ordered something different each time. Salmon Salad, Grilled Salmon, Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, and more... and they never disappoint. Food is always delicious!

I just landed at the airport, and typically try to stay away from chains in Chicago, but we were starving so we decided to hit up LongHorn, and boy am I glad we did! Ashley was our server, her attitude and approach was stellar, in fact the whole staff seemed to be at our beck and call, it was as if we had 5 very attentive servers... Loved the warm bread and butter that kicked off the journey, we also ordered the fresh fried potato chips with that wonderful dipping sauce, sooo good! We split two main courses, a special with three filets prepared one crusted in parmesan one crusted in bacon and one smothered in butter, yes, yes and yes, they were all excellent although my bias was surprisingly in the direction of the parmesan and the butter, I would have expected the bacon to be my fave but not in this 3way... We also split a chicken preparation smothered in bacon and cheesy goodness, the only way one could screw this up would be with dry chicken, and this chicken was far from dry it was on point and juicy! The seasoned Fries were really tasty and when I mentioned I liked a variety of dipping sauces I literally got berated with 6 different dipping options, now thats what Im talking about! The mashed potatoes were so buttery and good, just wonderful especially if you fork a lil of the parmesan sauce on your fork first then into the potato pile, oh yeah! It was the day before my birthday so they also hooked me up with a delightful little sunday which was really good! I know you may be a bit surprised at my 5 star rating, but as far as chain restaurants a stones throw from the airport, this is as good as it gets, I eat at so many chain restaurants around the country as a professional traveler and I rarely bore my yelp followers with the mind numbing experiences but I thought this one was worth talking about!

I've been to LongHorn a handful of times for luncheons with my co-workers, and each time I've been there it's been a pretty good experience. For an appetizer, I definitely recommend trying the Texas Tonion, which is fried onion pieces with sour cream and a zesty dipping sauce. I'm not exactly sure what is in the dipping sauce, but it's delicious. Unfortunately, I'm not a big steak-eater, so I've never tried LongHorn's steak, but I've heard it's pretty good. For the main course, I usually order the fried shrimp. I've also had the Shrimp and Crab Gratin, which is shrimp and crab meat in creamy cheese sauce. Both are pretty good. For a side, I like to get the Mashed Potatoes. The desserts at LongHorn are tasty as well, and you should definitely order one if you have room after your meal. I've split the LongHorn Dessert Sampler before, which includes the Chocolate Stampede, Caramel Apple Goldrush and Mountain Top Cheesecake. It's perfect for two people to share. Unfortunately, the service at LongHorn isn't that great, which is why I gave it three stars instead of four. Staff is friendly and helpful, but their order accuracy is a little off. Every time I've been there, something has been messed up, like a wrong appetizer or side dish is served or someone's drink has been forgotten. In the waitstaff's defense, we usually have a pretty large group of eight to 10 people. I suppose with a group that size, something is likely to get messed up, but if that's the case, they should assign an additional server to our table. Overall, LongHorn is not a bad place. It's reasonably priced for a steakhouse. While it's not an eating destination for me, I'll certainly go there if my employer is footing the bill.

I consider this a better version and better cut of beef than what you get at Outback for a comparable price. I am a bit of a steak snob and can cook up a hunk of ribeye better than what you can get over at Outback anyday but when I'm in the mood to have someone do the cooking for me and I have a hankering for steak but dont want to spend Morton's or Gibson's prices, this is the next best thing for me. Service is always attentive and good and I love that they dont get stingy with the bread and butter which are always warm and soft. Some of the appetizers are hit or miss and aren't anything to write home about but they do the job and usually aren't bad. The side cesear salad is usually a bit heavy on the peppery side for my tastes. The steaks though are always nice, thick and juicy and are always cooked to if not close to my choice of medium rare. Big portions too, can't imagine anyone going home still hungry. Overall, a nice place to kick back, enjoy a decent steak that doesn't taste like tough leather and take in some good service.

So I met my sister here for lunch and I was surprised at how good the food actually was!! Service was good and fast. Hot bread on the table. My sister and I shared a ribeye steak and we both got a lobster each. Comes with 2 sides. Steak was yummy, cooked just right! As for the lobster, it was a little tiny but still good. We also got watermelon margaritas! Very yummy and the watermelon sugar rim was delish! The price is very reasonable too! If I lived closer, I would come here more often.

We found this place one night in the middle of a snowstorm when it seemed that every other restaurant in Chicago had lines out the door! But it was worth the drive because Longhorn doesn't disappoint. The food is consistently good, the drinks are just strong enough that one is sufficient to even out the snow-induced craziness, and the staff is really pleasant and responsive. Seriously, we overate there. But everything tasted so good, and of course we knew we'd have to trudge back out into the howling blizzard, so we felt somewhat justified. And then we only split a dessert between the three of us, so that was virtuous.

Our server/bartender Katy was not attentive at all despite the place being empty. The food was average. To top things off she tried to charge us for 3 extra drinks. 30 minutes after waiting for her to fix the problem we had to argue with her manager about it, who actually tried to convince us that we were wrong despite being nowhere to be seen all night. Eventually they gave up arguing and charged us the correct amount. What an awful experience, no wonder the place was dead.

Ordered a NY Strip medium-rare and it came out med-well. Mashed potatoes and mixed veggies were perfect. But a steak meal is only as good as the slab of cow.

Great menu, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Can't stand the country music, tho. Loved the fresh bread, both what was put on the table and on the chicken sandwich. Veggies were fantastic! Big chunks, fresh, firm, but next time, de-vein the snow peas, dudes! Also, we had the cheese fries with chili, but there was hardly any chili to be seen. Great desserts as well and really well made drinks from the bar. I hear this is a great place for Mother's Day.

We had a date night here last night and sat at the bar. Our bartender Sam was so helpful! He really knows the menu and the specials and takes the time to explain if we had questions. Even tho he was working the bar and waiting on tables too, we did not feel ignored in any way. Everything was timed perfectly, from appetizer to salads to entrees. We had the homemade potato chip appetizer, and they were warm and crunchy, very tasty! Our entrees were done correctly and cooked perfectly too. I asked for the grilled shrimp add-on and it was delicious! We really appreciate having a great meal when we get the chance to go out, and this really is as good as it gets!

A friend and I ate here prior to a concert at the Allstate Arena. We were able to call ahead and put our names on the list (we were only about 15 minutes away at the time) and waited less than 10 minutes to be seated once we arrived. The food was good and the service was excellent.

The food was excellent. I wasn't expecting it to be that good. I had the steak with the cheese, garlic, and onion petal topping. Very tasty. I also had the chicken wraps for an appetizer and the cheesecake for dessert both excellent. It is one of the better chain places out there.

Another of our daughter and Dad get together dinners before she goes off to college and I move back to So Cal. Once again this is a mid-range steakhouse; She loved her fish-dish (Trout, I think) took it home and loved it as a leftover, I had the Rib-eye, i believe they use butter on it like Ruth Chris does but I could be wrong, anyhow it was delish. Now that my girls grown I'm no longer in a hurry so I just enjoyed my meal until the steak got cold at which time our server, who was a little doll took it back and got it re-heated for me. Once again a very enjoyable, kicked back evening with the only other human being that I love.

As far as a chain goes this one is nice. The place is small considering it's built in the parking lot of the hotel (which can also make parking a real pain in the butt especially on a night when the hotel is full). We didn't order any apps. We had the new salad though the strawberry pecan salad. OMG it was so good. I would get that again (if we go back when it's still in season) Steaks were fabulous. My steak wasn't as rare as I like it but then I pretty much want it still mooing in front of me but everyone elses steak were exactly as they ordered. We all had a cocktail which were really good. Waitstaff was on top of things making sure you had more water/soda if you were almost done. Making sure the meal was as you ordered and asking how things were going. Dessert was fabulous. The chocolate stampede was ordered for our table and the portion is HUGE. 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on the side of two pieces of chocolate mousse cake (more than half mousse and the bottom rich chocolate cake) I have been dreaming about this dessert I have to go back just for that lol

This place was pretty good. They can't get a to go order right to save their souls. This is the third time and I figured I would eat in to save the trouble. But if you are eating in the lobster dip with tri-color chip are great. I had the fire cracker chicken wraps were very good. The fries were not as greasy as they looked. My friend had a porterhouse and I wanted to jump across the table because it looked so good. Our server was very attentive and the drinks hit the spot. I would come back here. But if you are ordering out I wouldn't leave this place without checking it first.

I love this place. I've been here about 4-5 times, and each time it was good, some times better then others, but last time a couple days ago, it was amazing! They have really good warm wheat bread with butter, its sooo good, I wish they would give more, so I could take it home! I used to order the steak filet mijon, but for some reason it was always kind of spicy, they put alot of pepper on it, even when I ask not to put much seasoning on it. So I decided to try the 8 oz renagrade sirlion and it was AMAZING! It tasted alot more tender/flavorful then the filet. It wasn't spicy at all!!! I have came here a couple times with the ex, and he has had the ribeye, he said it was really good, and but he was only able to eat half of it, cuz it was a bad cut of meat, mostly fatty/gummy parts on the steak. They have really good mashed potatoes, really creamy, and not the kind that comes out of the box, real homemade kind. My dad has tried the porkchops, and he said they were really good, and really tender as well. They have good and huge baked potatoes too! I would suggest going with the sirlion, its really good, and really tender and has alot of flavor. I love longhorn, I always pick this place on my birthday, or a celebration or a holiday, its my favorite place for steak!!!

OK, yes, its a chain. But for a "steak chain restaurant" its as good as it gets ;-) You will NEVER walk away hungry. Place is busy but you don't ever have to wait (like Outback), good service and food is actually very good. I like steak. Mastros is the king. But its also $150 for 2 people (and little to no drinks). So to take out the 3 of us for dinner, have a great steak, and pay $45, 5 stars all the way.

Just because it is near O'Hare and next to a hotel doesn't mean it isn't good -- it is very good and moderately priced (for a steakhouse). Inside decor is very nice. Staff and management are tops. I have been here a number of times and always find it to be worth the drive and money.

Came there on a Sat afternoon with the wife and kids. Wait time was quoted as 20 min despite many empty tables. They stated that they had only two servers. Did not get the right feeling that this would be a good experience so I left. Too bad. They should have had some back up plan. Doubt that I would come back.

Don't let the name fool you! This is definitely not a Texas steakhouse. This place isn't famous for their steaks. The service is average and the food was average for a chilis or TGIF type restrurant. Over cooked my prime steak, bad cut and over priced. Nice place to catch a bite when all the other restaurant are full. I would not recommend if you're craving a medium rare, blood dripping, so tender you don't have to chew or add steak sauce to your steak. I'm giving a two star because they're claiming to be a steakhouse but they're not, the food was disappointing but edible. Damn! For the same price I should have gone to Wildfire because I know their steak selections and food is a lot better! They should have their name changed to LONGARMS because that's what they used to reach into your pockets and switch it with crappy food.

Had a great experience here. Walked right in and only waited about 10 minutes for a table around rush hour on a Friday evening. The food was amazing! Extremely fresh salad, great dressing, fresh baked warm bread. Had the cedar plank shrimp and steak and it was delicious! Dessert was delicious too. Would definitely go back!

Stay away from Eric. We went there on 4/29, before dinner rush. 4 A 2 K. We were seated right away. Hostess....wonderful. We sat and waited for someone to come to our table. When Eric arrived, we ordered 5 waters and a Sprite. Holy Cow!!! Did he go to Lake Michigan??!!?? He returned and we all wanted to order. He said he would be right back. Finally, we were able to order. 4 steaks. My wife's steak was well done, which she did not order it that way. Erick never returned for the "how is everything" question. When my wife wanted to pay, since he handed the check to me, he was avoiding our table. He finally approached, and my wife asked him if the restaurant does anything for incorrectly cooked meals. He asked what was the matter, and she told him. Erick asked if my wife wanted "a scoop of ice cream"? Then he asked if my wife wanted to take the steak home, of which she had two bites. She called on Monday to inform a manager of the poor customer service. We finally received $15 of gift cards, hardly covers the cost of her steak. Food is decent. Service is atrocious. Food matters and service really matters, especially when consumers are more careful with less disposable income to go out to eat.

We went there for lunch and got seated right away. The waitress was nice, and we ordered lunch with a salad. We got the meal and started to eat and then my friend found a bug in her salad! Not only did it gross both of us out but the kitchen manager was unbelieveable. She comes over to our table and doesn't even apologize, just gives us the excuse that "it happens". She didn't offer anything or even comp it - until we stated that we were leaving. Needless to say we will never go there again.

Our server's name was David and he was attentive, professional and friendly. The food was excellent, cooked to our order and hearty. I was extremely impressed by the fact that at a chain restaurant you could get such great and genuine service and a delicious meal. Both my friend and I had the fillet mignon with shrimp.

I have heard good things about the Longhorn in Norridge and one recently opened near us, just a bit closer. We were in the mood for something different and decided to give this place a try. The decor is kitchy and full of Remington replicas and lots of Southwestern style fabrics and paintings,as well as more than one steer head on the walls.I can deal with that, the smell was very promising. This restaurant is attached to the Raddison on Mannheim and Touhy, but seemed to be frequented by more locals than travelers. The bar menu has some different types of Margaritas,I had a Pomegranate Margie. They are served with individual shakers that are shaken table side. One word of caution...make sure that your top is very secure before you pour what is left into your glass,or you will have tragic spillage of a very good Margie...yes, I made a mess! Our server, Eric was quick with a mop rag and profuse with apologies. I laughed it off and told him I was making myself at home! Some of the same old appies, Firecracker chicken wraps, Onion Blossom type thing-y,fried shrimp. One that did catch our eye was a lobster and shrimp dip-served hot in a creamy white wine sauce with tortilla chips.Tasty, but had some very salty spots that did not mix, even after stirring, but still very tasty. I had the petite Longhorn Salmon, one of their signature dishes, something I usually avoid like the plague(signature dishes, not salmon). It comes glazed in a bourbon sauce and is grilled to perfection, not over cooked, as some places often do. It came with rice, which was fine, but I really enjoyed the sweet potato with butter and cinnamon, ate it all up! Tim had the Renegade, also a signature dish. The steak was a 12 oz portion, plenty big.It was dusted with what is a house seasoning called Prairie Dust, very flavorful and heavy on the cumin and found in most, if not all of the meats and seafood(it was on my salmon as well). It came with a side of excellent mashed potatoes and a side Caesar salad. No room for dessert, but the ones we saw flying past us looked quite delicious. One in particular-Apple Carmel something looked amazing. Will have to save room next time by skipping the appetizers, not really worth it . A solid 3.5 star place. Our server was good and very helpful when I spilled my drink, he was right there to help mop up the spillage and did offer to replace my drink, but I did not think it was needed. So, a half star up for that! We will return!

really good steaks!! priced fair (especially compared to its' high priced neighbors (morton's, harry caray's etc). lots of great apps and add ons for the steaks too (no creamed spinach though, BIG MISTAKE) beer and specialty drinks served in frozen glasses is a nice touch!

Not only can they not get a to go order right, like someone else said in their review, they can't get an eat-in order correct either. My husband and I both ordered the 7 oz Flo's Filet but were given an 8 oz Renegade instead. Considering the place had just opened for the day and our waitress had only one other table who wasn't ready to order when we did, I find this unacceptable. The food was good but I just don't trust I'll get what I ask for so I won't be back. I still miss Lonestar Steakhouse. I don't understand why they closed yet places like this and Outback are still in business. It boggles my mind.

(5)Rob W.

Being the business I always tip for great service but when you are lazy and don't clear our entree plates and leave a dirty wine glass in the corner thinking we won't see it sham on you
(2)Delia S.
(3)Stephen A.

Glad to find a casual steakhouse that takes its meat seriously. xoxo
(4)AJ M.
(3)Arturo G.
Food was spectacular will be back
(5)Jim Z.
(2)Marc B.
(1)Clyde A.

(3)Lisa G.
Just okay. Period. I had the ribeye without the bone (first mistake). Since I eat with my eyes first, they received 1 star. The steak was not charred, caramelized at all. Looked like they baked it... U know what i mean. It tasted ok. But I would not order that again.
(1)Yari S.

We had a great experience here. Our server Mary Rose was fantastic. Food was as expected. We would go back if in the area.
(4)Tina H.
Nice casual atmosphere and nice staff. Food is very good. It's a very busy place so you want to get there early instead of later.
(4)Laylajane A.
I hadn't been there in awhile. They have a weird smell at this location. I think it's time to pull up the rug. The staff is always friendly. The steak melted in my mouth. The bread is so yummy. I also enjoyed my mojito.
(4)Linda N.
(3)Roger H.

(1)Pam V.
Great service, great food. Had sirloin with blue cheese crust. Perfectly prepared. Upgraded side, soda, bill was $22. Hard to find decent steak dinner at that price. Western decor is fitting. Not in the area often, but would come back.
(4)Tina G.
(5)Kaja P.
I really love this place. Great food and service. The prices are awesome also if you call 30 minutes before your arrival time, then you don't have to wait for the table. The food is delicious I really enjoyed the fresh baked bread. I am looking forward to going there again.
(5)Kellie M.
Big servings, great service every time. Beautiful interior - nice bar!

(2)Lillian M.
First time here and the food was good, and let me say the service was great! I was really impressed. My family will be back.
(4)Danielle S.
(4)Bob K.
(4)Lily M.
(4)Brian L.
(4)Cate P.

(2)Ron B.
Service very slow, sandwich soggy (obviously sat a while), soup canned and order wrong.
(1)Jackie G.
(2)Kristina W.
(3)Jason N.
(4)Rose N.
I ordered the ribs twice in three nights, it was that good! The free bread was surprisingly tasty, as was the salad and baked sweet potato that came with the ribs. Service was prompt and pleasant.
(4)Marcee W.
Decent filet for the price (especially from a chain restaurant). Cold, crisp dinner salad with homemade bleu cheese dressing and the best baked sweet potato around, served with cinnamon sugar and butter. I'll definitely be back...
(4)Ashley C.
(3)Bradley F.
(3)Joel A.
(5)Shamik M.
I usually don't write about chains, but this experience was worth it. I have eaten in other restaurants in this chain but this one stands apart. The steaks were unusually good. Very tasty and juicy. They were cooked just right. They could easily give gourmet restaurants a run for their money
(5)Sydney S.
I enjoyed the steak, it was juicy, well-seasoned, perfectly grilled steak. The service was okay it could have gone faster
(3)Rosanna L.
(4)Juliana R.
Great food and even better margaritas!! Great service, I'll definitely be back!!
(5)Christina M.
Long horn is one of my favorite places to eat. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. Love the sauted mushrooms and filet. I had a minor accident where grease was spilled on my bag. The staff was very attentive and Helpful. Thankyou Brandon for your time.
(5)Albert C.
Not the greatest place. Service was super slow waited forever to order and server wouldn't take our food order when we were ready. The food was okay, I ordered the sirloin wrapped with bacon with sweet potato. I had a hard time cutting it, the whole table was shaking but i loved the sweet potato. Probably won't come back
(2)Flix F.
The chicken with cheese entree (forgot the name) is amazing. Probably the best chicken I ever had anywhere.
(5)Rhonda G.

(1)Susie W.
(5)Alex B.

(2)Susan R.
(3)Carleen P.
(3)Tara M.
Decor... very nice, old photos, steer heads, saddles, etc... very much what you would expect from the name. Food...
(3)Carl S.
I can't believe that I live close enough to walk to this place. It has been open for 4 years and I went for the first time tonight. Nicely decorated and an excellent staff, we will return. They had a $29.95 special for an appetizer or a desset, 2 Salads, and 2 Entrees!
(4)Morgan M.
(3)Katherine V.
(4)Alan S.
I rate this restaurant with 5 stars. I love this steakhouse and ITS A STEAK HOUSE. I had the 22 oz steak porterhouse with 2 sides which was more than enough for me. Service was excellent and the food great. Parking was also good.
(5)Julie O.
The food here is good but the service is slow. Even if we order salads or sandwiches at lunch, it is an hour and a half lunch. Even when it is not busy. So as tasty as the food can be, do not eat here if you have any sort of time constraint or severe low blood sugar.
(3)Lawrence Y.

(3)Kristen F.
(4)Nicole M.
(4)Jean C.
(4)Bob B.
(1)James R.

Great service! Burgers were the best we have eaten in a long time. Loved the sides. One of our party had chicken and loved it.Our server (Zoe?) was very attentive. We are looking forward to our next visit.

OMG, my steak was excellent! Super tender. Love the mashed potatoes. Love this place!

Had a great steak salad. Nice and tender steak. Great flavor! Warm and crusty bread. Will be back!

Steak had fantastic taste. When a fairly minor mistake was made on my order, the manager was at my table making it right within minutes. Fair prices, overall great experience.

Well I liked it. Good Caesar salad, good salmon & steak. The burgers are good too. Waiter was tattooed but he seemed nice anyway.
